10 Ways to Earn Money from the Internet

Sunday, January 25th, 2009

Here are some ideas on how you can earn money from the Internet.  People have earned so much from these, have been able to drop their day jobs because they have done so well with these endeavours.  Now, don’t just write that resignation letter yet.  This is no overnight get rich quick scheme.  Takes a lot of work and studying, too, but if you play your cards right, you’ll make it big!

1)  Blogging.  A blog is basically your personal space in the Internet where you can throw to the virtual world your two cents on any topic.  Of course, unspoken business ethics say you have to write responsibly, deceiving other people into buying to your idea is out of the question.

2)  Online Stores.  You can sell any product or service that you can imagine on line.  There are websites offering you packaged online stores where all you have to do is upload your products, and start selling.

3)  Affiliate Marketing.  Corollary to online stores, you may sign-up as an affiliate to any of the online stores you know, and earn by driving traffic to their website.

4) Graphic Design.  Are you gifted with the arts?  Do you know how to create graphics?  You can sell your art online or offer to do graphics for others.

5)  Photography.  Pictures, images, photos are hot items on line.  There are sites that would accept your image, include it in their roster, and sell the image to those in need of good images.

6) E-Bay.  Now who has not heard of E-bay?  get the best for your product by putting it on for bid on E-bay and similar sites.

7)  Data Entry.  There are many companies in the US requiring loads and loads of information and data entered into their systems.  Taking productivity into consideration, they would rather let go of this task to maximize their people, and have it done overseas at a much cheaper price (but in dollars or euros or pounds for us).

8)  Internet Research.  This is a time consuming task that companies and businessmen have no time to spare.  You will be asked to do research on the Internet and

9)  Transcription.  Not just medical, there are also legal and business transcriptions, there are interview and lecture transcriptions, there are investigative transcriptions.  There is one thing good going for the Filipinos…our English capability is at par with the native speakers and we can give them the highest accuracy transcript.

10)  Teaching English Online.  There are many Asian nations looking for English teachers, and online tutorials have mushroomed.  Japanese and Korean Companies abound offering English online, and they get their teachers from the Philippines.

These are just some of the potential work/business you can find online.  It’s really up to you how to develop them.  In mid-February, join me in a seminar we are holding to introduce these ideas to you, and help you overcome this so-called global recession! Don’t lose hope!  Keep that Faith!  After all, if I can do it, why can’t you?

Watch out for my next post where I will be talking about 10 Basic Preparations in Launching a Business Online.

Online Opportunities

Saturday, January 24th, 2009

In 2008, local economists prophesied that the Philippines will feel the global economic meltdown in 2009.  January 2009 sees Intel closing down, causing more than 2,000 Filipinos to lose work.  This is just the beginning of this crisis.  This, of course, has an echo effect.  Companies supporting the Intel business, materials supplier and services provider, will either downscale their operations or close altogether.  Again, the loser will be the ordinary Filipino worker.  So, a rough estimate of people affected will be about4,000 workers.

Now, don’t think I’m a doomsayer.   Far from it.  I am just painting our current reality now.  Are we hopeless?  Is working abroad the only solution?  I beg to disagree. Time and time again, successful business men will always say, opportunities abound when times are down.  Opportunities are out there.  We are no longer limited with what we can do.  Thanks to the Internet, we now have the whole world as our potential market, all from the comfort of where you are sitting right now!  If the physical world around you is in recession, well, here’s the good news, the virtual world of the Internet is flourishing!

Why is doing business online good?

1)  You have a much wider reach and market, close to unlimited.  As of December 31, 2008, there are close to 361 million Internet users in the world (http://www.internetworldstats.com/stats.htm).  Each of this user is a potential customer

2)  Contrary to popular belief, doing business online is cheap; no large investments required as compared to putting up a physical business.

3)  Online business is simple - a computer (preferably your own), DSL connection, a credit card, and you’re set to go.

I will be honest with you. There is a lot of studying to do.  No, nothing technical, but just like any brick-and-mortar business, maintaining an online business requires (a) good business ethics (b) good quality service or product (c) on time-delivery of service or product.

You probably would be wondering now what kinds of businesses are available on line.   Lots, I say, so, watch out for my next post, and I will introduce you to 10 Ways to Make Money Online.
